From 26 to 28 February, Provenance Properties Cayman Islands, the exclusive Cayman Islands affiliate for Christie’s International Real Estate (CIRE), was proud to welcome CIRE representatives, fellow affiliates and special guests to our sunny jurisdiction for three days of focused discussion and insight into what sets a AAA luxury brokerage apart from the others.
At a sunset reception on the Sunday evening, hosted beside The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman Harbour Club Pool, owners, speakers and affiliates from destinations spanning from Japan and Italy to the United States and Costa Rica had the opportunity to enjoy the stunning grounds of this luxurious hotel, surrounded by majestic palm trees and cool breezes. It was the perfect start to a conference that stressed the importance of quality of service above all else.
Over the next two days, keynote and guest speakers shared their “collective expertise and experience” with a view to helping all their affiliates “lead, inspire and deliver” at their respective brokerages. The message resounding throughout was the importance of offering the best service possible.
In his opening remarks, Kevin Van Eck, executive vice president of education and innovation at CIRE, stated outright, “When we talk about 2023 and where we are going, our focus is service.” And Chris Lim, president at CIRE, went on to echo this point during his presentation. “We have an obligation and a responsibility to provide the absolute best service in the market, period,” he said. “The best communication and the best value proposition.” With an amazing 20+ new affiliates added to the Christie’s brokerage in 2022 and $36 billion in added sales volume, the results of these efforts speak for themselves.
At Provenance Properties, we, too, pride ourselves on upholding this standard of excellence of service for all our clients, across the board, and we continue to honour the CIRE ethos in everything we do. As Kristy Rivers, our team lead, said when welcoming guests to the conference and to the Cayman Islands, “Although our brokerage, like our jurisdiction, is very small, it punches above its weight on many levels.”
On Monday evening, our team showed Cayman's spirit of "Caymankind" with a hosted reception for conference attendees at Bacaro restaurant at Cayman Islands Yacht Club. Beautifully nestled amongst stunning canalfront homes, the soothing waters of the North Sound canal and under the breeze of swaying palm trees, guests experienced local crafts and delicacies, with treats from vendors such as Powder Monkey, the National Gallery, Goodness, Tortuga, Launa’s Jewellery and West Indies Crafts, as well as local music and of course delicious food and drinks served by Bacaro's skilled team of chefs and mixologists. It was an enjoyable few days packed with learning, networking and of course getting to showcase our islands, our people and our service. Mr. Van Eck echoed many affiliates' comments to us when he said, “I wanted to thank our Cayman affiliate, Provenance Properties, for welcoming us to this beautiful island. It’s my first time here in Cayman but it certainly won’t be my last."
